Hey jerry,

i went to that location and changed where the index was stored. However,
when i try to search, I get the message "Windows Desktop Seach Engine is
starting up. Please wait." even after restarting WDS does not start
up...how do i get it to start up with the index in the new location?

Thanks, matt

Hi Matt,

It should just work. However, when you
change the location for the index, it gets
re-created from scratch, and that takes time.

Check the indexing status.

Where do I check the indexing status?
The only message I see that is different than the normal screen is "Windows
Desktop Seach Engine is starting up. Please wait."

Thanks, Matt
