I've never really understood what all this "Connects to work, or internet or
Secure WAP" means. A connection connects my Windows Mobile 6 to a service
and that defines what I can do (e.g. internet or LAN).

I'm only assuming that some functions say "Okay, we got a connection to work
so I can do XYZ but not ABC" but that's a guess.

Any ideas?

Cheers, Rob.

And what effect does the setting "This computer is connected to automatic,
internet or work" make in ActiveSync?

Cheers, Rob.

Answering my own question a bit, when it's set to "The Internet", it appears
that ActiveSync or maybe even the Windows XP PC is acting as a proxy
allowing the mobile to connect to the internet. Set it to "Work network" and
I can't surf the web whilst connected via USB.

Cheers, Rob.
