Because Google is like a lot of things that start with computer
networks.
The people that develop them first discover that they work great in
Supermakets.
But then they try to extend them to all markets, and find out
really fast,
that computer networks evolve a lot faster than supermarkets.
So they then start auto-editting everything that isn't priced right
for the supemarket.
