Newb here. (obviously)
I ran across this link in a newsletter E-mailed to me:
http://mail.accessintelemail.com/c.html?rtr=on&s=9ij,17fip,2o09,f65r,glxm,dme9,h7yr
Just wondering whatsort of link that is that ends in
c.html?rtr=on&s=9ij,17fip,2o09,f65r,glxm,dme9,h7yr ???
What's going on browser/site wise?
When I clicked it it took me to:
http://www.studiodaily.com/blog/?p=1659
Again, what's with the ending /?p=1659 ??

It simply has query string with:
"rtr=on&s=9ij,17fip,2o09,f65r,glxm,dme9,h7yr"
You can have any kind of query string you want actually, but
people usually use [&;=] to delimit the parameter name/values.
Using that convention, it looks to have a parameter "s" with
a value of: 9ij,17fip,2o09,f65r,glxm,dme9,h7yr
Going on a limb, I'd wager it's a set of codes that are interpreted
by some web script, probably compressing longer numbers into
letters and digits to save space.

Encoded parameters like this are normally used to identify: 1. a page or
product and 2. YOU or the email campaign, so the site knows who clicked
through or the email campaign because this information is part of the
encoded sequence.

When you clicked on the link in your email client, it activated your
browser, and it went to the 'accessintelemail' distributor-for-hire, and
sent it the specific information in the [commonly called] GET variables
- the string of codes specific to you. Now 'accessintelemail' knows that
you, Dave Barber, read the newsletter.

The 'accessintelemail' server, after recording you, then did a
server-side redirect to that guy's blog.

It is what produced the dynamic page numbered "1659" in the database of
the blog and presented it to you.
My recommendation: sell your 35mm SLR camera.

It can do whatever their script you pass those variables to is told to
do (in the code/functions). If you're asking if it's valid, yes,
probably.
