My office just okayed me getting a newer PDA phone and I'm looking for some
options. Right now I use a Sony Ericsson phone and a IPAQ 5550 together to
do what I need. But I'm wondering if I can replace them all with one device.
I'm specifically looking for something that is small and will allow me to
run my NavTeq GPS software, preferably with a GPS but if I like the phone I
can continue to use my bluetooth GPS mouse. Right now I'l looking at the
IPAQ 6515, 6915 and an HTC phone. Thoughts???

I must have been looking at specs for an older version. I didn't realize all
of this was included.

It's a nice device - their other offering is their S710 which is more
"mobile-like" than the TyTN II which is more "PDA-like". The TyTN has a
bigger screen (same resolution though), better camera and HSDPA (3G?). I
assume it's also got a touch screen with stylus.

However, the loss of the mobile keypad may be problem - it would be if we
tried to push this as a business phone.

It's also a darn more expensive :-)

Cheers, Rob.

The fact that I started "business" with the IPAQ 5550, 1 GB memory card, GPS
mouse and a ericsson phone makes this option seem cheap. At that time the 1
GB SD cards were $600 a piece, not to mention the new IPAQ 5550, GPS and
phone.

I guess right now my biggest problem is trying to take all the gear, and
chargers, with me when I hit the road. What a pain... I wonder how the GPS
on these units will compare to my GPS mouse. I find in major cities, where I
need the GPS, they tend to lose signal between tall buildings.
