 Hi all
i have a problem with a sony vaio webcam.
I have an old vaio tr1 laptop with a webcam included on the top of
monitor.

This cam was stoped for years... now that i sell the laptop i was been
strange that the webcam have only a black screen with some white lines
sometimes.

Well some coleague tell me tha is possibile the the cam is consumed
because of years of not function ... is that true ? can be the webcams
consumed if you are not use for a while ?

I never heard of anything like this before. I had many sit and still
work just fine.

Hmmmm ... well must be broke or somethink.
It's like he want to work but it's only a black stream with some white
lines sometime.
...any ideea is wellcome.

Clean the plastic lens cover with a very soft, damp, cloth. Activate
the camera with the button on the monitor, and then adjust the knurled
focus knob and see if you can see anything. If you cannot see anything
with the focus adjustments, the camera might have failed, or you do not
have the required driver or Sony utilities installed.
