When I watch media center TV on full screen, I lose the capability to use the
mouse on my other monitor. I have the system set up for dual monitors, one
being the TV and one being the flat panel monitor. I'd like to have the
ability to watch TV (actually in another room) and also have the kids be able
to use the computer too. Any ideas?

Yup... use something other than MCE.

For some inane reason, Microsoft decided that being in a window was
different than being full screen.

Try using Alt-Tab. Works for me.
