Warning: just found out they did away with the fastest synchronization
method, network synchronization. Since I'm a developer I do alot of
synchronization and with a wireless PDA, a network sync is fast and easy.
Had to go back to 3.8 and it was difficult. After uninstalling 4.1 and
reinstalling 3.8 it still would not start up. Had to do a System Restore to
go back to 3.8.

Hi,
Actually Developers can sync via a network with Visual Studio 2005. See
http://blogs.msdn.com/vsdteam/archive/2005/04/28/413304.aspx

End users can't sync via a network.

That isn't remote ActiveSync. Visual Studio uses ActiveSync (RAPI) it push
down executables to the device. Debugging is done through the new
components. The web link just tells you how to manually push the new
components to the device.
