Hi,

I have a O2 XDA IQ mobile running Windows Mobile 5 (same as i-mate
SP5). When I try to download a wmv file, rather than opening in windows
media player, or asking if I want to save the file, it actually
displays a text representation of the file in the browser. I can't see
any obvious setting to change this behaviour. Please help!

Cheers

Darren

Not sure Darren but I know I had similar problems with my Orange M2000
(same as
the XDA2)

I think it may be a codec problem but am unsure how to add additional
codecs to the PPC version of Windows Media Player

I ended up switching to
pocket tv (http://www.pockettv.com/) much more
flexible IMO and free :)

Good day. I've seen the same thing as well while downloading content from
www.gametrailers.com

I had a huge page of text and the status of the download was displayed as
about 760k (and not progressing any further).

I can't remember if the file eventually played or not, as I was
experimenting with various settings and features.
