Hey there,

Iīm facing a huge problem caused by my own stupidity. I only wanted to check
out the features of TCPMP, so i installed this piece of software. But after
the installation wondered because my T-Mobile SDA2 (*) didnīt play my MP3
ringtone any longer. Shortly after that Iīve found out that my Windows Media
Player 10 mobile is now unable to play MP3s as well. (what explains the ringtone
error).

TCPMP is working fine :-(

What I only want to do right now is to restore the MP3 capability of the
WMP because thats more important for me. No matter what end the TCPMP
installation
takes.

What Iīve tried so far is:

- re-established the link to WMP as default program for MP3
- edited some registry values to WMP where TCPMP stood before

Is there another way to repair the WMP installation?

Best regards,

Martin

TCPMP is now the default MP3 player on your device. In order to fix
that, just open TCPMP, tap Options > settings > Select page > File
associations and uncheck MPEG audio files. Hope this helps

By unchecking the MPEG audio files option in TCPMP, WMP10 will become
the default MP3 player.

Hello Linley,

Thank you for helping me, but it didnīt work out. WMP was already the default
player for mp3, it simply couldīnīt play them.

When opening a mp3 file directly...

... an error occurred which said "The file couldnīt be played. Maybe the
file is corrupted or the player doesnīt support the desired format" (original
in german)

... and the player, of course, was quiet.

The funny thing is/was that although the player didnīt play these files
directly,
it was able to play them from its media library.

Anyway, I decided to restore the manufacturers settings on my device, which
meant to start allover again. But it was worth it. Now everything is fine.
