I have been trying to synchronise my HTC Touch (WM 6.1) with my Vista PC
using WMDC (new Active Sync) for days, Please, someone help, I have no more
hair to pull out! What's the problem?

Three problems. (A) Emails and Calendar entries are not being loaded/synced
from my PC/Vista Outlook 2003 to my HTC Touch. My phone is empty, since I
have done a hard reset to make it completely clean. WMDC has been fully
set-up on my PC, and those settings have been synced to the HTC. HTC is
connected/talking with Outlook/Vista, since my 3000 contacts have been
synced/copied to the HTC (from PC). The WMDC error message is not very
helpful to me: "Sync error: ActiveSync encountered a problem on the desktop.
Severity: error." Desktop problem? Outlook 2003 is fully functioning, and HTC
has recognised the Outlook folders on screen.

(B) The second problem concerns an error message that I get on my HTC (in
Active Sync program) every time that I sync: "Your server has been changed.
To continue synchronisation will require removal of all data on your phone".
The sync process then goes on to REMOVE all my 3000 contacts on the HTC
phone. I then have to sync a second time in order to get them back!

(C) Every time I USB-connect my HTC to my PC, WMDC starts synchronisation
automatically. How do I stop this, so that I decide when to start
synchronisation? The issue is that sometimes I connect the phone and I do NOT
want synchronisation, e.g. when I want to change settings; I want to manage
files via Windows Explorer.

Thanks in advance for your help and ideas!
