Hlello world.

Have a "fresh" Vista Buiseness installation on my laptop. Have allso a
HTC TyTn mobile with Windows Mobile 6.0.

When I try to open the WMDC it wont start. I have tryed to download
the WMDC (drvupdate-x86.exe) and run the installation. But then I get
this error message:

"Windows Mobile Device Center could not be installed because
at least one required Windows component is missing"

It say nothing about what component is missing. hehe

Anyone have a clue?

Regards

-AA-

Hi,
Are you logged in as the administrator on Vista before you install WMDC?
Does the Vista PC have a network adapter?

Arne,

Did you get any resolution to this? I have the exact same issue (Vista
Business) and 'Windows component is missing.'

Update if you get a resolution

Late reply, but I got it working.

Just had to start Windows Mediaplayer for the first time. After that
it worked :)
