I want to REALLY thank you for your diagnosis and recovery from this
situation! It has saved me hours of troubleshooting.
What happened here was, for security reasons, I decided to change the
password protecting the device. After that the unit would not sync anymore
and would not give me any good errors. Only after I deleted my partnership,
re-booted then I got the nework error you described. I ran the diagnostic
you suggested, found no errors but the unit then started syncing.
This situation is no joke - I rely more and more on Windows Mobile to
maintain contacts and appointments - MS should really look into this!
