Errors out with infamous "Changes to synchronization server
blah, blah, blah" error that NOBODY seems to know how to fix.

Toshiba e750. WMDC 6.0, 6.1, doesn't matter.

Time to upgrade to XP? I really need this to work, the laptop
came with Vista, which I did not want, but had no choice in
the matter.

OK, even though it wasn't what I wanted to
try it with, I connected my hX2750 (that's my primary
day-to-day device - the 750 is my backup and I wanted
to "experiment" with that) and I got a partnership. So
there's a specific problem with the e750 and WMDC.

New problem-it doesn't see Outlook 2000, which I
*think* is supported "with reduced functionality".

Please don't start in on me for using 2000. I have
written a routine that exports a .CSV file of my jobs
from another app I wrote in VB to do job scheduling
and I do NOT want to have to re-write it for another
version of Outlook that doesn't accept that data in
exactly the format that 2000 does.

All I need to sync with 2000 is Calendar. Nothing else.

Already did a "detect and repair". Haven't uninstalled/
reinstalled yet. Thought I'd ask first.

Another update-

After fighting with 2000 for a couple more hours, I
decided to roll the dice and install Outlook 2002 instead
of 2000, just *hoping* that the import/export .CSV format
would be identical to 2000 and that a newer ver. would solve
the "outlook not installed" stuff. I had 2k2 on the CD that came
with the 2750, 2k came with the e750.

Well, success on all counts. Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, all
sync fine - I use nPOP for email so I don't know nor care if
2k2 has the address book issue that 2k does. Went ahead and
patched up to SP-3 and all seems well.

Hope this helps others.

Now to figure out why the
e750 won't establish a partnership. It can be seen
and browsed from Explorer but WMDC just says
red Error.

Any takers on this one?

Hi Raj:

Thanks for your interest in this.

WM 2003 non-SE.

I have tried to generate logs with the procedure
outlined here:

http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/faqs/wmdc/debug/index.htm

but they don't get created.
