I have an Ipaq 4155 and a clean installation of Vista Ultimate 64-bit.
When I cradle the Ipaq Sync Center shows the device as a guest. I try
to set it up through WMDC and get the message: "There is a problem
with your connection. Please disconnect and reconnect your device and
try again."

I finally got the logs working, and here's the relevant bit

Hi Julie,

Go to Control Panel -> Uninstall programs and uninstall the two entries. 1)
Windows Mobile Device Center and 2) Windows Mobile Device Center Upgrade.

Then Re-install WMDC x64 bits.

Thanks,
Abdulkadar [MSFT]

Hello Abdulkadar.

I've done that - several times.

Thanks,
Julie

Did you have any other versions of WMDC installed before installing the
current version or is this a clean install?

Thanks,
Abdulkadar
