Hi

I am trying to connect my Viewsonic Pocket PC V27 with Pocket PC 2003 (ver
4.20.1081 (Build 13100). The device is being recognized and i can explore the
device using windows explorer. But when WMDC is opened, i just see an "ERROR"
icon.

Would appreciate if anyone is facing the same problem. Also how do i enable
WMDC logging?.

Also the device is listed under Device Manager under both the Mobile devices
(as Viewsonic Color Pocket PC v37) and portable devices heading (as Windows
Mobile-based device).

Thanks
Ram.

Hello Ram,

see http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/faqs/wmdc/debug/index.htm for enabling
logging. Post the content of the logs and I'm sure some from these
people which speak the language of these logs can give you a hint.

Can't give you much help on your problem but want to point something out to
you and everyone else. With Windows Vista the device will be recognized and
you can explore it if WMDC isn't loaded at all. It is a feature of Vista.
All that means is that your being able to connect and browse, doesn't say
anything about the WMDC problem, it just says your USB port is working.
