Have HP throwing error codes (sometimes) "Unsupported File, WMC cannot
play file. The file is either corrupt or WMC does not support the format
you are trying to play", Or "Loss of Signal, WMC has stopped capturing
data due to low data rate in the T.V. signal. This may be a temporary
situation. If it persists make sure the cable for the T.V. signal is
connected properly, restart the computer and then try turning to a channel."
I have only had this pc for a month and the one before this just a week. I
can only record T.V. programs intermittently. I'v been on line with HP for
three hours while he helped me update my drivers. I've restarted and
sometimes T.V. will play but not always. What is the fix for this? Any and
all help would be greatly appreciated as my next choice would be to return
this one and start from scratch a third time.

Help!

For some reason, computer tuners are pickier than regular TV tuners,
especially in low-signal situations. Are you in a house or an apartment? Any
idea how many times the signal is split? Do you have a powered splitter? If
not, they're relatively inexpensive at Radio Shack and well worth it in
terms of improved signal...
