Hi All :

I Have the following :
- Proxy on my Network
- I'm logging on to my PC with local admin account -> connected to the
internet through proxy with domain account.
- ActiveSync connection is set to automatic
- When I Plug in the HTC Touch (WM6) to the PC (Using USB), wait > it fails
connecting to the Server
using active synch I change to work/ or Internet, wait > it fails.
- BUT when I change back to auto, it works!

tried to set the proxy manually for HTTP (using the Proxy address and the
domain account) on the device settings, but everytime it get's overwritten
when I connect to the PC.

and settings become as follows for the (My Work Network):
- This network Connects th the Internet : True
- Uses a Proxy : True
- Proxy Server : BLANK
- Advanced > HTTP/WAP/Secure WAP : BLANK
- Advanced > Socks : (MyNetworkProxyAddress:1080) *without brackets

Tell me what should I do to get it working of the first time please.

Hi,
Try entering the IP address of the proxy into the proxy server setting.
Also, what version of SOCKS does your proxy support? Did you check to see
if the proxy ever sees a request from the device?

I tried manually entering the address there, but it keeps getting overwritten
once I plug it to the PC.

I don't need socks, all I need is HTTP

maybe these devices doesn't support proxy connections.

Hi,
It could be the proxy server as well. Did you confirm that the IP address
of the device is allowed to use the proxy?

yes and the prove is that when I set it on any other connection (this PC
connects to *in activesync) and revert it back it works fine.

I just need to know how to hardcode the proxy login in the device and stop
activesynce of overwriting the device's settings.
