A client recently upgraded his phone from a WM5 device to a Samsung i760
which uses WM6. Server is SBS 2003 SP1 with Exchange 2003 SP2. Wireless
sync and direct push from Exchange worked fine on the old WM5 device.
Wireless sync doesn't work at all on the new phone. Neither does direct push
but I'm sure that's related.
When trying to sync wirelessly support code 8502000f is thrown. According
to http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=915152 this is network/radio issue. I
don't think so, I can connect to Exchange using the phone's broadband with no
problem. I have installed the cert on the new phone and can connect to the
secure exchange site using https with no ssl/cert errors.
I can also sync to the clients desktop with no problems. There is nothing
in the event logs that relate to the problem I'm having.
Only 2 things have changed. New phone, new carrier. Old carrier was
Alltel, new is Verizon. Old phone was WM5, new is WM6.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
