Hi there,

I have bought myself a smartphone with WM5. On my home PC I have installed
Activesync 4.5, connected the cable but no synchronisation. Activesync cannot
find my device. As I was running Norton Internet Security I shutdown this
program. But no improvement.

On my work I tried to connect the smartphone and guess what: no problem.
Both computers are running on Windows XP (one with Media Centre 2005, one
Profeesional).

Besides that I have a Pocket PC (HP IPAQ 2200) and this one is synchronising
on both computers without problem.

So please who can help me out?

Hi Marc,

Try to connect your cable to another USB port on your PC.

Hi Linley,

Thanks for your reply. I tried all the other USB ports as well. But with the
same result. The point is: the smartphone is recognised by Windows. I can see
it as Mobile Device #5 with a LAN connection. But somehow the communication
between Activesync and the smartphone is not working. I was thinking a driver
is missing or the wrong version of a driver installed?

The most irritation thing is that the synchronisation is working on the
other computer without a problem.
