I am running WM5 on a Qtek 8310 smartphone, but I have experienced a
bug which is quite annoying, although it doesn't happen very often.

If the screen is turned off (due to power saving settings) and I
receive an SMS at the same time as I press a button, the phone locks
up.

I just press a button to turn on the screen, and at the same time I
hear the "new sms" sound. The screen turns on, and it displays "SMS
(1)" on the homescreen, but that's all I see. The device is locked up.
The only way to recover is to remove the battery and turn it on again,
but then the sms message is lost.

Believe it or not, this actually happens quite often to me :)

Is this a bug in WM5 or in the Qtek? Any ideas?

this sort of happens to me too. eg I have xbar installed and it recently
went out of date so an error would pop up but if my phone was locked when
the error poped up I couldn't unlock it. Same happened with out of date
newsbreak so I don't blame the software (xbar or newsbreak) and I'm on an
SP5 so it aint the hardware fault either.

no help to you I know but .... your not alone

Nice to know I am not the only one experiencing this problem. Perhaps
there is hope of a fix then :) Even though this is not the exact same
problem, they might be caused by the same error in the software.

I have also head from a Qtek 8300 user (also a WM5 phone) with the same
problem as I have.
