Of course I do not think MS should write every app I would like use! I pay
for many already. I only think its appropriate that basic functionality I
have enjoyed with nearly every release of Windows in it various guises is
included in WM5 for Smartphones.

And which release of Windows came with Office on it? Even the Office viewers
weren't always there. I expect that the anticipate number of users, and the
limited viewing experience they would have on a 176x220 pixel screen,
prompted MS to not commit resources to developing viewers. Possibly as
mainstream SP screens get higher resolution, they may reconsider.

The SPV M5000 is far from a Smartphone. It is a version of the HTC
Universal, a PocketPC Phone Edition device.
