Hi all,

Do you know whether there are any third party solution to give LAP /
PAN client capability to a WM5 device, hack or otherwise?

The aim is to allow the WM5 device connect to internet through a
bluetooth access point (no activesync).

Thanks!

Have you tried running the Internet Sharing application? I know that
you can use it as a bluetooth access point, however I"m not sure if
the reverse is true. Usually this file is located in

\Windows\Internet Sharing (Yes there is a space in the
filename)

It will then show up as a Bluetooth PAN. I believe this is for AKU
3.0 or higher.

Unfortunately, the reverse is not true. The PAN in AKU 3 is only PAN
host capable, there is no PAN client capability, so the WM5 device
cannot join a PAN hosted by other device / computer.

Therefore I am looking if there are any 3rd party solution to this
deficiency.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Glad you mention this page since the issue was explicitly stated
there, under 1.5.2:

>> 3. AKU3 lacks the BT PAN client mode (so that a AKU3+ device can (also) join
BT PAN's, not (only) host them).

This is in-fact the issue I brought up: I need PAN client mode in the
WM5 device.

So, is there any 3rd party solution to get this capability?

Can I replace the MS BT stack with other BT stack? How?

Thanks!
