Not at this time, no. There is new DB architecture in WM5, but there is no
conduit specifically planned for Access to the new mobile DB format at this
point. There is some possibility of an .mdb to .cdb conversion app
happening, but don't hold your breath. That means it is unlikely that apps
that currently use the AS .mdb to .cdb conversion and ADOCE support are
going to continue to work much longer. There is not even any guarantee that
a PPC app would work if you could come up with a .cdb. With ADOCE officially
gone, it's existence on a WM5 device is at the whim of the OEM.
What's happening with DB support? SQL. There is SQL mobile it is compatible
with SQL Server. Doesn't help much for individual Access users, or things
that currently use the Access format on the desktop. MS doesn't seem
terribly interested in closing that gap. Seems it is up to third parties to
fill the gap.
