David, I am not sure this is your problem but you might try it as I can
create a similar but not the same support code by changing these settings.
File ... Connection Settings ... This computer is connected to:
Mine is set to The Internet and I can sync fine over the air and via
USB/Bluetooth. If I change that to Work, it will not work. Give it a shot.
