I got a "free" after rebate D-Link 524 Wireless Router with the new 802.11
b/g Wireless Laptop.

My intent was to use it to allow me to "wirelessly" connect to a Brother
MFC-640CW which is billed as a "Wireless Network-Ready All-in-one" machine.

I will NOT have DSL nor CABLE at the intended location, but will use a
dial-up NetZero connection via the laptop's internal modem.

Therefore, my "wireless network" will consist of my laptop and the Bother
All-in-one.

Will this work? e.g. will I be able to access the printer wirelessly without
being connected to any cable/dsl?

Or, is tis a queston for D-Link?

Sure you could use the wireless router if you want. But the laptop could
be configured to talk directly to the MFC-640CW too. Thus you really
don't need the wireless router at all.
