I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but i admit it I downloaded
a pirited copy Media Center Edition 2005 from limewire. But i only did this
to try it out see if i did go out and spend the money for this software i
would get my money's worth.. so ok this is what happend. I download the bin
files, converted them and burned them. Every thing was fine after the install
so i turn off the and went to bed (it was late any ways). BTW i have 2 Hard
drives. The one i installed to was my slave but switched it over to master
and vice versa with the other one.. The other Hard drive had XP Home on it
with 2 partitions on it. So the next day here come the wave of updates. Well
WGA was in there and well that installed and every thing ran great till i
rebooted.. I was going to listen to my music from my other Hard drive when
out of the blue my E: drive was gone all i got was this "E:\ hasn't been
formated would you like to format now yes or no" I'm thinking "AAH no every
thing is on there." so i click no and try again. Got the same message..
Rebooted to the old Hard drive (this time it's D:) I got the same message..
now i'm freaking out and i'm like "oh God this can't be happening" so I like
i'm getting rid of this os.. but my this time my cd drive won't load and i'm
totaly freaking out about this. Now i log back in to mce 05 only to find my
the same thing happend with my rest of my other hard drive. so Now i'm Stuck
with this pirited copy of Windows Media center and i just can't reload the
old os cause my old disc to home edition shattered in my old cd drive but i
got a prited verson of that and i really don't want to explain to microsoft
that all i wanted to do is try the software and well that would be my thired
time trying to activate home edition... hehe. So My questions are is this the
working of WGA? And is there a way i can get my old stuff back?

Thanks very much
Kira
