Is it possible to get Windows Desktop Search to replace the 'Search
Companion' in Windows Explorer (i.e. the panel that appears if you click
the Search button in Windows Explorer, press F3, press Win+F, or click
Start|Search)?
I'd like this feature so as to be able to quickly and easily just search
the directory I'm currently viewing in the Windows Explorer window.
A third party has written a utility to do this for Google Desktop Search.
See the 'Google Desktop Search Plug-In for Windows Explorer' at
http://www.bytegems.com/google-desktop-search.shtml. Is there anything
similar for WDS?
Apologies if this feature is included somewhere and I've just missed it.
It seems so obvious that I'm surprised it's not enabled by default.
