Hi,

I have DELL axim x51v with WM5, and installed activesync 4.1 on desktop
computer. Contacts, Calendar (In Outlook2003) and files sync is working
fine between PPC and Computer.

After I installed PathNotes Standard Edition 4.6 and tried to sync
Outlook notes with PPC, I got error message: WCESMgr.exe has generated
errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the
program. An error log is being created."

I have tried to repaired ActiveSync 4.1, removed and reinstalled
Phatnotes standard edition 4.6, but still got the same problem.

The WCESMgr.log and Phatnotes_sync.log is following:

WCESMgr.log

**** Starting synchronization engine
Remote object: 'HPCNotes', SSPId: 0x00002710 [0 items]
Remote object: 'WorldMatePro', SSPId: 0x00002711 [0 items]

Remote object: 'Ink', SSPId: 0x00002716 [4 items]
WARNING: Object type 'Media' is not installed on the desktop
ERROR: failed to load synchronization table for HPCNotes

phatnotes_sync.log

********* New synchronization session started.
Object "HPCNotes" is Enabled.
Connecting to Outlook.
Successfully connected to Outlook
Outlook folder successfully mapped to PhatNotes database "HPC Notes"

Any help will be great appreciated

Kenny

It looks as though there is a problem with the PhatNotes sync module.
Do you get the error when PhatNotes is uninstalled?

I didn't get a error when I uninstalled PhatNotes.

After I totally deleted activesync profiles in "c:\my documents and
setting\user name\applications data\microsoft\activesync\profiles\"
folder, reinstalled PhatNotes,
Changed Pocket PC device ID, connected PPC to computer, activesync
asked for configuring a new sync profile for the "new" device,
everything is working properly.

Thank you,

Kenny
