sms on wmobile devices is crippled by the restriction of addresses to
numbers.
many of the carriers have other options plus there are third party
solutions to send to internet addresses... for example, try addressing
an sms message to 6245 ("mail") and putting the recipients address in
the subject line.
might also take a look at ipipi.com and similar services... both paid
and free, especially if you sms internationally.
