W3C validator can't fetch my webpage Gustaf 08-30-2005

I just installed Apache on my computer so I can test pages before
sending them to my ISP. For some reason, neither web-sniffer.net nor
validator.w3.org will find my page. When I go to whatismyip.com it says
I currently got this IP:

213.114.220.72

So this must be the "outbound" IP from my computer. And I can load that
IP in a browser and see my page, but none of the above mentioned pages
can fetch it. What's wrong? :-(

If you go there, you should see 3 greetings in various languages.

Gustaf

I can see that, and
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2F213.114.220.72+
seems to see it happily too.

Remember that the W3C validator wants a URL, not just a domain name or
bare IP.

Also you should check how long-lived your IP value is. This will depend
on your ISP, but many of them will move you between IPs from day to
day.

I can ping that number, but there is no webpage.
Are you behind a router that isn't set to route HTTP requests to your
PC? Or a firewall that hasn't got port 80 open?

Thanks. I had forgot opening port 80 on the Windows XP firewall. :o)
Enjoy the greetings now.
