Hi all,

I have a MCE system that uses a logitech speakerset connected with a toslink
cable.
The soundcard is an on-board AC97 codec with the latest drivers. I allso
have installed ALL updates from windowsupdate.

When playing music in mediaplayer 10 i have NO problem controlling the
volume using the slidebar at the bottom of mediaplayer. Allso i can use the
master-volume in the system-bar without any problems.
But when i am watching TV using MCE2005, i can't control the volume from
within MCE (using the remote or the keyboard or a seperate mouse). I have to
set the volume level with the control-module that came with the speakers.
This is the same for TV, Video, Music and Radio within MCE.

I tried all the different set-up possibilities for the speakers in
Mediacenter. I am using the Nvidia pureVideo decoder, and tried to make
changes in the sound output, but it detects the digital toslink connection
and as a result i can't change anything.

I recently re-installed my HTPC, so i have a clean install of everything,
but to no result...

Does anybody have a solution for my problem?

Thanx in advance,

Wouter (The Netherlands)

Works great. I just stuck a shortcut pointing to the executable in my
startup so it runs each time windows does. It makes the Wave volume copy the
Master volume level which is what you need when using spdif.
