Please log in for more thread options I would assume it's more likely an HP problem than a Microsoft problem.
Either a problem with the install image (if it never worked), or a problem
that corrupted something since it was built. Since its so new, you should be
able to return it with no problem. And it could be that the very next one in
that model worked fine, I just don't know.
You might ask again on the MovieMaker forum, where I assume they know a lot
more about Vista's MovieMaker than I do...
