I'm running WinXP Pro and connecting via USB to an IPAQ rw6828 running WM5.
Syncing is extremely slow and it has been since I got the IPAQ. My wife's old
Journada running PPC2002 syncs the same databases in a fraction of the time.
The issue has come to a head today when, after rebuilding my computer (full
clean install of WINXP etc.) and replacing my Outlook 2003 .PST file from a
backup I had to recreate my PPC partnership and sync. I've selected the
"combine" option to ensure I don't loose anything off my PPC or outlook file.
The sync has taken hours and crashed several times. I've been using AS 4.2
but am now trying the 4.5 beta with the same result. I've turned off
Zonealarm and disabled AVG antivirus. I've done a soft reset of the PPC on a
couple of occassions. Still no better. I am still waiting as I type this, for
the sync to successfully complete. Any help greatly appreciated.

Sounds to me like there is a problem with your PST file, have you run the
Detect and Repair option in the Help menu, on this file? WM5 will sync more
information between outlook and the Pocket PC, perhaps there is a problem
with this information in your PST file. Have you tried doing a Sync with a
new PST file, just to check the time to sync on a new clean PST file?

Thanks for the idea. Detect and repair didn't do anything but I then ran the
.PST fix tool and that seems to have solved my problem.
I appreciate your help.
