Ok, maybe I'm sad but I had to but a Windows Mobile 5 phone to test OMA, and
finally got that working. As an IT Pro, I thought it would be interesting to
see if I could get VPN and Remote Desktop working as a viable alternative to
carrying a laptop around.
Well, I set up VPN ok (I think, using settings/connections/WAP/VPN) and
tried to connect it. It didn't seem to want to know, and then just in case it
had worked I tried Remote Desktop, but that errored out. I know VPN/Remote
desktop work on this network as I use it all the time from a PC.
I really need some advice on how to set up the VPN properly and also any
known issues with VPN/Remote desktop from a phone. I know computers, but
these phones are new to me and I need some good advice.
I'm using Vodafone v1605 (they give them away "free").
