Hi,

I attended a talk on MS security and new technologies. The speaker made
reference to MS VPN's server can perform a health check on a client
attempting to connect to make sure that things like its AV definition files
are up to date, etc. Is this true. I have had a look in the Remote Access
Policies and can't find anything there. Is this somethingn that is only
possible with ISA or can I do this with RRAS?

TIA,

Jarryd

Yes.

See Network Access Quarantine Control section under
http://www.microsoft.com/vpn and VPN Roaming Clients and Quarantine Control
in ISA Server 2004 -

This is the first step towards Network Access Protection -

Thanks for that. I think I am on the right track. To anyone out there
using Symantec AV Ent Edition 9 and knows how to check the status of AV Def
file using these scripts, please let me know.

TIA,

Jarryd
