Seeking advice from the Pros on getting my Tilt to sync with Outlook 2007.
Bought the Tilt (loved it until I ran into this challenge), installed Outlook
2007 Trial and Activesync 4.5, running on Windows XP. I know many have had
issues and I have spent the better part of the last two days researching
these issues and trying a variety of the recommendations. Below is a summary
of what I have done so far:

 Removed and reinstalled both Activesync 4.5 and Outlook 2007 several times
to no avail
 Deactived Windows Firewall and Norton Firewall completely (as well as
those areas specific to Activesync in Norton)
 Before Activesync, "Sync" and "Explore" are visible and selectable –
Schedule is not selectable
 "Sync" starts the sync and "Explore" allows me to see the contents of the
Tilt
 During Activesync, "Stop" and "Explore" are visible, but Schedule is not
selectable.
 After a long syncing process/delay, I get the ever-present Support Code:
85010014
 I have deselected all sync folders and activesync completes with no errors
– but there isn’t anything actually being "synced" in this process.
 Regardless of the folder I select (i.e. Calendar, Contacts, Email, etc.)
the error above is the result.
 Deactivated "Enable advanced network functionality" under Settings –
Connections – USB to PC
 Ran Activesync Troubleshooter and it returns the "Norton Personal Firewall
has been detected" message. I followed the full directions on this linked
page.
 Ran Outlook diagnostics application, no errors found.
 Ran scanpst.exe on Outlook PST files.
 Deleted the PDA under Activesync and added it again.
 Can "sync" music from Windows Media Player to Tilt, but not through
Activesync as the Setup Must be Completed/Partnership error results.

All of the above have accomplished nothing. I am not a techno-genius, but my
thoughts are that there could be an issue with the "connection" between
Activesync and Outlook 2007. I am not entirely clear on the hook between the
Outlook "Profile" and the Activesync "Friendly Name" titles. In addition, I
am unclear on the "scripting" issues that have been discussed in other
forums. In deactivating both Windows Firewall and Norton Personal Firewall, I
would hope the scripting issue would be covered.

So, that’s the saga…any ideas and/or input would be greatly appreciated! I
so desperately want to love the Tilt, but if I can get it to sync with my
Outlook data, it doesn’t serve a great purpose!

Thanks in advance…Later…Away…

Hi,
Check and see if there are existing partnerships on the Tilt. If 2 already
exist then it won't sync. You will have to delete an existing partnership
to setup a new one.
