Hello,

I have an audiovox SMT5600 (HTC Typhoon) smartphone with Windows Mobile
2003SE. Problem scenario:
- The smartphone is connected to my laptop using a USB cable+activesync
(it is charging)
- My laptop does not have an internet connection.
- I want to connect to the internet to download IMAP email or browse
the web using the smartphone

The phone always tries to use a pass-thru internet connection (via my
laptop) - even though the laptop is not connected to the internet. Is
there any way to force it to use a GPRS connection instead of a pass
thru connection via the laptop? If yes, how to enable/disable it.

Thanks,
Avneesh
