I want to upgrade from Preinstalled Home to Professional XP. I have SP 2
home. Tried to find an "upgrade" version for professional but all I can find
is the regular professional installation CD's. Is there a particular Cd for
this type upgrade or do you just need to get the professional version and
install it. I do not want to lose my present registry etc.

You will need to purchase the full or upgrade retail version (OEM versions
will not perform upgrade installs).
