Please log in for more thread options Report this to the bug report alias for the beta ASAP! astell @
microsoft.com. Please give detailed information on the PC OS, PC hardware,
especially the network adapter, the access point, and any wireless software
that you are running, typically from the wireless network adapter vendor, to
set up things like WEP, WPA, etc. If you are running a virtual private
network so that you can connect to, maybe, your work network from home, send
that information, too.

>>> Since I installed AS version 4.2.0 (Build 4855) Beta on my XP-SP2 home
>>> PC, I have encountered a new problem. My home PC toggles between my home
>>> network IP address and 169.254.109.195 every few minutes. The problem
>>> occurs after removing my WM5 based device (X51V) from its sync cradle.
>>> When I'm placing PDA back into the cradle, problem is gone. When I
>>> release and renew my home
>>> PC IP address to set the home network IP address (thru DHCP) it goes
>>> back to 169.254.109.195, 4-5 minutes after the IP renewal .
>>> This problem has never been observed with the previous AS4.1.
>>>
>>> Any ideas ?
