The strangest thing is happening to me.
I have a windows mobile 5 pocket pc with AKU2.

my tablet pc is connected through a wireless connection on my company.
there are oher users using the wireless connection.

everytime, i connect the pocket pc through USB, everybody who is connected
through the wireless connection, looses connection. how can my pocket pc
affect all others??

and the only way out, is for me to disconnect the pocket pc, and all of us
who need wireless connection must restart the pc's, or else the wireless
connection keeps trying to connect but it fails...

isn't this weird???

can anybody help???

This was reported a week or two ago by others. It does seem odd, but, if
you're running some sort of a VPN, it's possible that the appearance of a
new network adapter, which is what the Pocket PC looks like when you plug it
in with USB, might cause your VPN client to notify the network as a group
that the VPN is no longer secure and cause everyone to drop their
connections. I'd say that this is the wrong thing for it to do, but I guess
it depends on how secure your network is supposed to be.

If you're not using a VPN, post back with the parameters of the wireless
network (how is it encrypted and how are users authenticated? ie. you're
using WEP, WPA-PSK, WPA-TKIP, PEAP, EAP-TLS?), what PC we're talking about,
what WM5 device we're talking about (hmmm, you didn't tell us much, yet),
etc.

Note that you can use groups.google.com Advanced Group Search to search the
archives of this newsgroup to find the other thread I mentioned above...

ok, we connect through a wireless Access Point using WPA-PSK.
the weirdest thing is it affects all of us, users of the wireless network.

the pc: a toshiba tablet pc portégé m200, but others have asus notebooks
(they all have intel wireless components)

the wm5 device: a qtek 9000 with AKU2 update.

do you need anything else?

It's not really me that needs it...

The problems that we've previously seen an fixed are related to Intel
wireless drivers and WPA-PSK. If you are using the Intel wireless client
software, rather than the built-in Windows Zero Config client software, it's
possible that this is the source of the problem, but I don't experience this
myself. Take a look at the thread that I mentioned in the other message and
see if anything else might help you.

If not, you can try sending the detailed description of when the problem
happens, all hardware, model numbers included, driver versions of the Intel
