I just bought used R30 and I'm not sure which type USB (1.1 or 2) it
has. How can I check it?
I think about USB-IDE adapter to ordinary (PC 5 1/4) DVD writer. Does
it work?

Do you have some kind of Operative System on it?

It makes things a lot easier.

On my R30 (Type 2656-62G) the USB-ports were V. 1.1. For attaching a
external USB-Harddisk I used a PC-Card USB 2.0 adaptor. But perhaps you
have a different type that has USB 2.0 (There are many types of R30).
The operating system usually detects what kind of USB device is built in
(z.B. device manager).

Win 98 and FreshDiagnose shows only that
there is USB without type. Did you test
USB-Harddisk with older USB and how
it works?
