Here is the first Chthonian planet discovered, named "Androcles",
which has
a 70 hour period:

"Cassandra", the second Chthonian planet discovered, orbits delta-
Cephei.
(The Greek character Cassandra spake truth but was not believed)

Such a planet would be close to its primary to be stripped of its
atmosphere, or at least close enough when the white dwarf was in its
red giant phase and the primary dwarf would noticeably revolve about
an ellipse with the planet. I'm not certain if it would be a true
barycenter since the mass of the white dwarf might require the second
foci of the ellipse to be inside its surface just like the Earth/Moon
focus has one, about 30,000 miles from the moon and the other, about a
thousand miles down inside the earth. But such planet cores, once
exposed must have some rather different surface materials lying about.
Exotic alloys? New molecular versions of carbon? Stable room
temperature metallic hydrogen alloys? That much high pressure and high
temperature for so many millions or billions of years might be a
window to many unknown materials.

...by the way, I'll try in the future to reduce my text size. Please
have patience with me until I learn better.
