Here is the solution that was sent to me...

Sorry for the delayed reply...had my hands full around here. I worked on it
for a while before I discovered that you needed to go into the control panel
and add a COM port in the Bluetooth COM Manager widget. They do not make it
clear in the setup instructions and you cannot add one from the third-party
Bluetooth manager application that runs in the toolbar. Once I added the COM
port (I think I used COM 2) the ActiveSync just grabbed that port during the
prescribed setup process and it worked.
