I already have vpn access to my office using Cisco VPN Client 4.7 on my
laptop working. Using the build in vpn software on the Treo 700w I basically
enter the same information in but can't connect. Any special ports I have to
open up for Mobile 5.0 on the Treo 700 to connect?

Tim,

It depends on how your VPN Concentrator is configured on the remote end. In
some Cisco solutions, there is a required certificate that must be installed
on the device in order for it to be allow to connect. That is the case for
my corporate network. Sometimes there is just a key involved which your IT
Team may or may not be willing to share.

Hope this helps,

For our Cisco PIX Firewalls and using an XV6600 (Pocket PC 2003 not 5.0) I
could not use the built in software on the pocket pc as it did not support
the same VPN setup that was on our firewalls, I had to purchase anthaVPN and
use that, it uses the same info the Cisco VPN Client for Windows does, ip,
group name, group password, username, user password and it connected right
away.
