I am trying to sync a Treo 650 with my Exchange 2003 server. The problem is,
I don't know what I am doing. If someone could point me in the right
direction I would appreciate it. Everything I find says all I need to do is
enable moble devices on my exchange server and then jsut configure it on he
Treo and away I go. I have tried this and am getting nowhere. So I would
assume I am missing something. Any informaion would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for you input.

Thanks,

I don't expect it is quite that simple. The real tricky part is of course
supplying a path over which the Treo can reach the server. You certainly
need a data plan on the phone to get on the internet. The Server of course
needs to be reachable from the internet. There is a short blurb at
http://web.palm.com/products/smartphones/treo650/activesync.jhtml that
highlights a couple of points under Company IT dept, "Server access allowed
using SSL through a front-end Exchange server, or proxy server". If you are
the IT dept and that means something to you, maybe it will get you started.
If it doesn't mean anything to you, good luck. There are some other links
there as well.

Hi,
The Exchange server has to be setup to support mobile users. Also, the user
account has to be setup to allow the user to use the mobile access.

Well, now when I set up the the ActiveSync on the Treo, it gives me an option
to test the connection and it passes. When I actually try to sync the Treo
with the Exchange server I get an error.

AirSAMSMEmail.c 2549 1 HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server error Date: Tue, 07Apr
2006 23:34:06 GMT"

Looked it up on the internet but couldn't find a whole lot of help....any
ideas?

Sorry - but if anybody has an update to this, I would greatly appreciate it.
I am getting the exact same error message, and have been for the past month.
I have had no luck finding the solution on the web...

Thanks
