I'll shortly be installing a new PC. Could someone please outline what
steps I will need to take to transfer my iPAQ 2210 running under AS
Version 4.2.0 (Build 4876) to my new PC. IOW, so that it's running in
its cradle on the new PC just as it is today on the current PC, with
all programs etc available for installation/removal on the new PC.

Any traps/pitfalls to watch out for please?

Raj,

Do you mean which version of AS? If so, I don't know! It will be an
Intel Core 2 Quad PC from MESH, running XP Pro (SP2, which I will have
to update with a zillion Windows Updates as soon as I get it). So
whatever AS version comes with that, I guess. As you'll gather, I'm
not very clued up about the technical aspects of this, so any
practical advice would be very welcome please.

I think he meant what version of Windows (XP or Vista) which you answered.
Vista doesn't use Activesync, but instead uses the new "Windows Mobile
Device Center."

Since my mother told me never to say anything about something unless you
have something nice to say, my only comment about Vista's WMDC is that for
all of those people that couldn't wait to get rid of Activesync, WMDC proves
the old adage "be careful what you wish for!" ;-)

Thanks.

But do you know the answer to my original question please? Anyone?
