Toshiba not quite all Vista drivers

Toshiba not quite all Vista drivers Barrabas 02-22-2007

 Toshiba have added a lot of drivers for Vista
for my laptop, but are noticeably missing
the display and audio drivers.

There is no way to confirm if the driver
on the ATI/AMD site is the right one for Vista for me.
The utility for XP says it cannot download
the driver for my model for example. I assume
it is just a Toshiba thing.

Do I just wait for the drivers or do I have
to ask Toshiba what is going on?
I don't intend to get Vista soon.

If I had bought the same laptop from October
I just pay for the Vista upgrade. Are drivers
there that aren't being shown on the driver
download page?

 If your not going to Install vista now then why worry about it ? It may
be that Vista has them already built-in. I installed it on my home
system and the drivers that I had to hunt down were only for a Microsoft
mouse that came thru the update a week later. It caused a no screen
saver problem. It only happen with a few of the Microsoft wireless mice.
More of a problem fix then a driver problem.

I just want to know the future of my computer.
A little more help on the Toshiba site would be appreciated.
You get 'guided through' installing any piece of software, but
left to yourself to upgrade to Vista. They give a list of what
to install, and mention the display and audio drivers.
Not entirely sure the rest of the names properly match
the actual drivers given.

It's possible that the drivers were not added because they are already
on the Vista DVD.

It would be good for Toshiba to give some indication of this, at least
for confidence in getting Vista.
