The original battery that came with that laptop was a Li-Ion 10.8v 2400 mAh
that was supposed to power it for approximately 2hrs. If you can get a 3000
mAh battery, it should obviously last longer. The 300CT is pretty old, only
a 133mhz machine, are you sure you won't be wasting money buying a new
battery for such an old laptop?
