I spent 2 days trying to modify Conexant Windows XP driver from HP web site
(SP34386.EXE - version 03.30) but finally did it.
Now, it works very well on Toshiba Satego (you can even hear sound when
clicking in both Explorers).
Also, microphone support works. Old driver that people installed is
3.11.0.51 without mic support.
Satego P100-490 has built Conexant High Definition Audio (HD) sound card
with hardware ID:
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_14F1&DEV_5045&SUBSYS_1179FF31
You can check you hardware with:
Start->ControlPanel->System->Hardware->DeviceManager->Sound, video and game
controllers..
Now right click on your sound card driver (e.g. Conexant High Definition
Audio)
Then: Properties->Details->HardwareIDs
You can download this sound driver at:
http://rapidshare.com/files/26781700/sound_satego_P100-490.rar.html (944kb)
Just uninstall old sound driver, extract archive and run setup.exe.
